Charleston Polo is proud to inaugurate the first chapter of the new United States Polo Patrons Association (USPPA) through an innovative ‘Community Supported Polo’ model, where patrons share in both the risks and the rewards of the Polo Life.
We invite you to become a Founding Patron of Charleston Polo — not just as a donor, but as a part of something that’s never been done before: a community driven patronage model for the development of our horses, riders, and rising players.
Our First Goal - Pasture & Ponies
The first challenge is simple: secure local pasture and care so we can keep horses near Charleston and avoid costly day‑trips from Aiken to have lessons.
No longer will we pay nearly $300 per lesson to haul ponies from Aiken.
With locally stabled horses, we aim to offer lessons to members at $150 — opening the door for more players, more often.
Two Paths of Support:
1. For Patrons: Help Us Field our First Ponies
Our immediate aim is to acquire and care for our first school ponies.
Initial Funding Goal: $7,000 – $14,000
By contributing, you become part of a founding group of patrons who will be recognized not only by name — but by tribute and legacy.
Your contribution supports:
• The acquisition and board of our first ponies
• A full-time lesson string for new and returning riders
• The long-term revival of Charleston-based polo
In return, Founding Patrons will receive:
• Timeless recognition with our Polo Patronium Token
• Periodic tribute of Templar G+ld (on-chain, as developed)
2. For Players: Reserve Your Place in the Saddle
As we establish our initial string, we will be offering a limited number of pony leases — allowing new players to reserve their ride access in advance.
Full Lease (20 rides/mo): $3,000
Half Lease (10 rides/mo): $1,500
Quarter Lease (5 rides/mo): $750
Our online system allows for lease preorders, so you may reserve your ride as we acquire more horses. lease now to secure your place.
